So this week I thought I would do another travel blog. This time I would talk about a great little city with a big city feel, Halifax. Nova Scotia.
My wife Tanya and I were lucky enough to take a little holiday to visit our friends Ana Almeida and her BF Travis here. Some might know Ana from CTV Atlantic and the host of Section 6 – follow her @AnaAlmeidaCTV. As they took us around to their fav places they soon became ours too.Halifax is one of those amazing cities; it’s got the true maritime feel. The people are one of a kind and so caring and free.
The city’s located right on the water, with such rich history and bussing Harbour. There is so much to see in and around the city, from the famous Peggy’s Cove just a mere 50 min drive South of the city to the city market at pier 21. (Great market and roof top to chill with a coffee and watch the ships go by. Even just going for a walk down the boardwalk, Breathing in the fresh sea air. It's enough to really make you feel at home and smile.
What more can I say about Halifax? To be honest I could say a lot... It’s truly a city with life and have I mentioned the food? OH MAN … Halifax honestly has some of the most amazing restaurants. Seafood galore of course, but that’s not all. With the ocean on one side and farms just around the corner this city is a food haven for fresh local dining with fresh takes on cuisine.
This was not our first visit to the city and I am sure it won't be our last, with great friends and a great City. This combination will keep bringing us back time and time again.
